Our History Michelle Rose Gilman founded Fusion Academy out of frustration with the status quo, and a need for personalized education in her community. What began with one campus in Solana Beach, California, in 1989 expanded to add a Los Angeles campus in 2010, with the help of what is now Fusion Education Group. Since then, Fusion has expanded to over 80 campuses nationwide and changes the lives of thousands of families each year. Fusion Academy in Franklin, Tennessee opened in Spring 2022. Fusion Franklin is a private school where classes are one-to-one: one student and one teacher per classroom. Our Teacher/Mentors can personalize curriculum and pacing for their students’ strengths, interests, and learning style. Students may attend full-time for middle and high school or part-time with classes for credit, tutoring and mentoring, post-secondary counseling, and more. We offer rolling enrollment so students can start at any point, even mid-semester or mid-year. Embrace U is a mental health clinic for children and teens (ages 10-18), located in Brentwood, Tennessee. Embrace U offers Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) to develop the skills and confidence needed to manage the symptoms of a mental illness by using evidence-based treatment modalities. The Embrace U care team includes a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed therapists, and registered nurses. With Embrace U, patients gain coping skills, stronger self-esteem, and better ways to communicate through group experiences and structured individual and family therapy. The program provides patients with a community of peers who understand their challenges. Families find support from licensed professionals and other families participating in the program. Our goal is to prepare the patient and their family for sustainable healing right from the start, which is why we begin planning aftercare at the time of admission. Our staff work closely with individuals, families, and community partners to ensure our patients have the appropriate tools and resources to graduate from our program and build healthy, fulfilling lives. Embrace U follows the philosophy: caring for one’s health should not mean sacrificing their ability to live their life.

Embark Behavioral Health is a leading nationwide network of outpatient centers and residential programs offering premier mental health treatment for preteens, teens, and young adults. Our locations are part of a continuum of care that provides a range of services built from over 25 years of specialization in serving youth. Embark uses the CASA Developmental Framework to inform all treatment and care. This proprietary framework’s purpose is to help developmentally heal and strengthen functional, mental, and physical health through commitment, acceptance, security, and attunement (also known as empathy in action). Our innovative residential treatment program in Benton, Tennessee, for adolescents and teens was developed to help youth heal and grow. It combines extraordinary outdoor experiences, daily functional fitness activities, empathetic individual and family counseling, and exceptional educational rigor to help build greatness. Our facility focuses on the ability and willingness to engage in relationships as a key indicator of success. We’re not only preparing adolescents and teens for the road ahead cognitively, physically, and emotionally but also taking into consideration their overall sense of being. This holistic educational experience with tactile and engaging life skills will help develop a deeper understanding of each youth’s core sense of self and initiate positive behavioral change.
